At Littleover Apiaries we have always taken our environmental responsibility seriously and that is why we will never squeeze the bees!
We have never packed our honey in plastic “squeeze bottles” and were the first to use only glass with the highest recycled material content.
Since 2005 we have been 100% drug and chemical free in all of our hive operations and since 2007 all of our packaging has been 100% recyclable.
Also, instead of sending half empty trucks around the country, we have always used “groupage” this is where we share palletised loads with other companies in order to ensure that we fill trucks to the maximum in order to reduce road miles.
We will always have and will continue to strive to be both considerate to and protect all of our planet.
And as part of this we are heavily investing in both forestry management and forestry creation.
By October 2022 we will not only be carbon neutral, we will in fact be carbon negative.
